Wedding Photography Considerations

There are many different ways to approach styles of wedding photography and many considerations. A popular approach is the Photojournalistic style. This is generally done with a telephoto lens with the shots taken unobtrusively. Here there is a storyline of the day as it unfolds recording emotion and spontaneity. Black and white is often times the preferred medium. Traditional photography comprises many staged, group shots where the shot is set up. These images record family members, wedding party groups and posed shots of the bride and groom. The Illustrative style is blending the bride and groom into background and design utilizing the architecture and environment. Having an understanding of what you like and conveying it to the Photographer is always encouraged. You may see a particular image that you particularly like. Share this with your photographer and any other visions that you may have.
